Vacation Pay

The vacation characteristic calculates an employee'southward vacation corporeality every pay period and, depending on how you lot pay out holiday, adds this corporeality to each check or retains for release when the employee takes time off. Additionally, Sage 50 Bookkeeping can calculate vacation amounts on vacation paid, if information technology is required in an employee's province.

Computing Vacation Accrued on Holiday Paid

Depending on the province in which your employees work, you may be required to calculate vacation pay on vacation amounts paid out (check the provincial employment standards for all of your employees).

To start calculating accrued vacation pay, plow on the Calculate Holiday on Vacation Paid option on the Income tab of any employee record. Sage 50 Accounting calculates this amount for you by multiplying the Vacation Paid amount by the Vacation Rate entered in the employee record. This amount is and so added to the Year to Date column for Vacation Earned.

Paying Out Holiday

The vacation amount is calculated according to the per centum entered in the Holiday Rate box on the Income tab of the employee's record.
